Jane Birkin was a Bristish and French film icon of the 60s and 70s. During this time, she was a muse to Serge Gainsbourg, inspiring much of his creative expression. To me, she was incredibly stylish. I love her look- it’s a perfect mix of masculine and feminine.

Beasts of the Southern Wild

I saw this film yesterday and was completely blown away. It is nominated for 3 Oscars this year, including Best Picture and Best Actress for nine year old Quvenzhané Wallis (the youngest actress to ever be nominated). I can’t even really begin to describe what this film is “about”- just do yourself a favour and go and see it! Even more incredibly, Benh Zeitlin, who wrote, directed and composed the film, is only 30 years old and this is his first feature film… So much talent.
